A friend of mine from high school (who I also ran cross with) ran in the Olympics for the second time last night. He did remarkably well (and it was only his third marathon ever!), finishing 9th overall and 1st for the USA.
I dug up a few old photos of us from high school (I apologize for the poor scanning quality).

How fun!!!! He did really well and I thought it was pretty cool to know he was from Michigan! What an awesome experience!

Whenever we ran against Rockford, we were just hoping not to get beat 15-50 (I'm not sure if we ever managed it)! It was always cool just to watch him fly through the course...
How cool! Not many people can say they have a picture with an olympian dressed up in a goofy dog sleeping bag thing! =) That article about him is really nice too.
